Introducing Amazing Georgia!

Let’s try this again. I created a post the other day, my computer froze, and I lost the entire thing. I should’ve immediately retyped it while it was still fresh on my mind, but I didn’t. So, here we go again - try #2 (3 days later).

I am so excited to share with you that Amazing Georgia is here! The official publication date isn’t until September 1st, but my copies arrived the other day and I’m HAPPY to sell them a few weeks early!

Amazing Georgia was a bit different than Alabama since there are so many counties... 159 counties to be exact. Instead of laying the book out alphabetically (and having a 180 page coloring book), we decided to separate the state into the 9 regions set up by the Georgia Tourism Council:

  • Historic High Country

  • Northeast Georgia Mountains

  • Atlanta Metro

  • Historic Heartland

  • Classic South

  • Presidential Pathways

  • Plantation Trace

  • Georgia Coast

  • Magnolia Midlands

Even dividing up the state this way, we still had to double-up (and triple) some of the counties. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how well we fit everything into this one volume all about Georgia.

I have favorite pages and I’m sure you will too. Growing up in Georgia, there are things on several of the county pages that are meaningful to me and things I remembered visiting as a little girl.

There are also places I’ve visited for the first time as an adult.

I haven’t been to every single county in the entire state, but I’m working on it - and I’m using my copy of Amazing Georgia as a fun travel guide to the 159 counties that make up this peach of a state!
